Hello all! To retrieve the appropriate materials for the Jefferson DBQ, please click on ”Jefferson DBQ and Rubric” under AP US History on the right of this screen. This is due next Tuesday, October 21. Parental Instructions: Allow 15 minutes for students to review the documents and 45 minutes to write–if you want to follow AP testing guidelines. (They can type this or hand-write it.) You, as parents, are also responsible for grading your student’s essay based on the rubric. You will give them a score (1-9) and take the score times 5 for a point total. I also will look over your grade for authenticity. It is possible the score you have given your student may not be the score they are given for the assignment. I reserve the right to adjust the scores as necessary. The key is encouraging your involvement in their classes and understanding how their essay writing is graded. In addition, you learn how they will be graded on their AP test (it is the same rubric).
