Hello! It has been awhile since I have posted! Which, of course, means we have been very busy these last few weeks before winter break! This week we finished our discussion of events leading to the Civil War. Today they had a 16 point quiz in class-most scored well! Tomorrow a dbq is due over the inevitability of the war and its causes. They were given the assignment on Tuesday–due Thursday. We will be peer editing these in class with the final grade assigned by me. Today they worked on categorizing the events causing the civil war in class–this is also due tomorrow. It should really help them consider outside knowledge in writing their DBQ. Friday we will have a brief presentation about National History Day projects followed by the chapter 16 id quiz. The students have been working very hard in not only my class, but additional Central classes these last few weeks! They truly deserve a pat on the back and a relaxing winter break!
