The first few weeks of the school year have been very busy and have flown by! Students in AP US History have studied the 1980′s, the indigenous populations of America, why people began exploring and who came to the “New World.” They completed their first quiz and their first id quiz! They also learned how to outline large amounts of information and to outline an essay.
AP World students have studied hunter-gatherer life, nomadic life and the beginnings of civilization. We have spent much time discussing the neolithic revolution (food production) and its impact in world history. We have also spent time discussing the first dynasties of China and the introduction of political thought!
Keep encouraging your students to ask questions and to keep up with their readings! Next week in AP US history is a unit test over chapters 1,2,3,5! Have a great weekend!
