Enrichment Opportunity for APUSH!

Traveling Textbook Contest!

For enrichment points to be added AFTER the semester 1 exam, APUSH students have the option of turning in a picture. This picture will be worth additional credit if it is taken over 100 miles away from Des Moines, Iowa. It must include the student and his/her textbook in the picture as well as a sign or landmark sign containing the location. It is due January 6, 2012. If a student is traveling in a group and would like to turn in the group picture (such as a school field trip), the student must still be holding his/her APUSH textbook! If a student is at an A for the class once all grades are completed for the semester, it will have no bearing on the grade.

The picture must be printed off,  and photoshop pictures will not count.

The idea is to have students thinking about destinations and US history. I post the pictures on my bulletin board and it has become quite a fun tradition for the APUSH students to view them throughout the year! So far the longest distance was Hawaii! Please email me if you have any questions!
