Hello all! I’m going to direct you to through various tasks concerning Egyptian mythology and then you’ll need to respond as a post once you are completed.

1. Go to www.egyptianmyths.net. Click on “Myths.” Select the story of “Osiris and Isis.” Read it. Then, select any additional myth. On a separate sheet of paper, write the name of the myth and summarize it in 3-5 sentences. Then, on your actual post explain the importance of these myths to Egyptians and students of Ancient Egypt today. 2. Click on “the Land” next. Select “Mummification-How did the Egyptians perfect their techniques?” article. Read it. On your paper, answer the question in the title in 2-3 sentences. 3. Select “Symbols” and on your sheet of paper answer the following: What does papyrus look like (draw the symbol)? What stood for water (draw the symbol)? and what was the meaning of “the West?” 4. Select any god. Read the information about him/her. In your electronic post, tell the symbol and summarize the god’s importance. In summary, you will have electronic posts and responses on paper. Follow the directions in this post correctly and in order and you will have completed the assignment correctly! Post and turn in your paper by Monday, September 29!

Welcome to the World Civ. page! Here you will find classroom information. You will be asked to post to a question or comment when assigned. Rules regarding posts: no foul language, abbreviations, or negative remarks. When you post your first and last name must be showing. I will select five random students from each class to assign a grade for each post. If you are selected and have not posted within a week of the original posting, you will lose 10 points. I am hoping you will use this site often and that it will be an extension of what we discuss in class! I’m excited for this new feature to our class this year!
